Manhattan Valley Family Days Coming Up

On May 6th and May 20th, the Columbus/Amsterdam BID will present the 3rd annual Manhattan Valley Family Days.

On these two Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Amsterdam Avenue will be closed to traffic between 106th and 110th Streets for:

  • Karate Demonstration
  • Face Painting
  • Pottery Wheel
  • Domesticated Pigeons
  • Yoga Lessons
  • Fire Truck

  • Household Recycling
  • Battery & CFL Bulb Disposal
  • Master Composting
  • Green Markets
  • Textile & Clothing Recycling
  • May 20 – Electronic Recycling

Restaurant Sidewalk Cafes

All activities are free. Cafe-style seating will be available on the avenue and dozens of local restaurants will expand onto sidewalks.

Manhattan Valley Family Days is part of the NYC Department of Transportation’s Weekend Walks program. Booths and activities generously provided by local community organizations and service providers.
