Each year, small businesses, elected officials, non-profits and community supporters come together to provide free Thanksgiving meals to local residents in El Barrio/East Harlem. This year’s Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner will be held TODAY, beginning at noon at the Holy Rosary Church (428 E. 119th Street, between 1st and Pleasant Avenues).
The following supporters have made today’s event possible: Kevin Walters, Owner of CREOLE Restaurant, NYC Council Member Melissa Mark-Viverito, Law Offices of Pamela Hayes, The Hollis Group, East Harlem Café, La Fonda Boriqua, Gran Piatto D’oro, New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Holy Rosary Church, Hunter College School of Social Work, Turner Construction, Make My Cake, Mount Sinai, New York Academy of Medicine, Sterling Affair Caterers and many others.
Like many organizations throughout the City, two local senior centers will be providing free Thanksgiving meals to East Harlem’s older adults tomorrow (Thanksgiving Day):
- Corsi Senior Center, 307 East 116th Street, Open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- JWJ Senior Center, 2205 First Avenue, Open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
