We have created a new page on the blog to post resources in District 8 that help us to eat healthier and lead healthier lives.  We have begun by posting information on farmer’s markets and exercise resources in the district.

  1. Thank You for standing with the Gardeners today on the steps of City Hall to ask that all Community Gardens become permanent public spaces. Thank you for having the foresight to see that childhood obesity can be addressed at this level. Thank you for understanding that the sweat equity that went into creating a garden from wasteland deserves to be recognized as a valued asset, and not just as a developers dream site. Gardeners make neighborhood safe, gardens educate children and teach them to be better citizens.
