This fall, in the Democratic Primary, New York City voters will use a new voting system for the first time. The New York City Board of Elections will be giving a demonstration on this new system at two upcoming events.
The first, sponsored by Community Free Democrats and co-sponsored by Melissa and several elected officials, will be held this Thursday, June 24th at 7:30 p.m. at the Goddard Riverside Community Center (593 Columbus Ave @ 88th St).
The second, a community forum sponsored by Westsiders for Public Participation and Common Cause/New York, will take place on Monday, June 28th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:00). The forum will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church (6 West 96th Street @ Central Park West).
We hope you will take an opportunity to attend these events and get familiar with the new voting system as we quickly approach an important election year.
