NYC Charter Commission Hearings

The New York City Charter is once again up for review by a new commission which was recently convened by Mayor Bloomberg.  The Charter governs so many aspects of our City, from the powers of the Mayor, City Council, Borough Presidents and Community Boards, to how land use and budget decisions are made.  It is critical that New Yorkers lend their voices to this debate.

Here is a list of the upcoming public hearings being held by the Charter Commission.  All attendees are invited to give testimony on any aspect of the charter:

Tuesday, April 6 at 6 pm
The Graduate Center, Proshansky Auditorium
365 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan

Monday, April 12 at 6pm
Hostos Community College, Repertory Theatre
500 Grand Concourse, Bronx

Tuesday, April 13 at 6pm
McKee High School, Auditorium
290 Saint Marks Place, Staten Island

Monday, April 19 at 6pm
LaGuardia Community College, Auditorium
31-10 Thomson Avenue, Queens

Tuesday, April 20 at 4 pm
St. Francis College, Founders Hall
180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn
